I got hit by a bus today.   Again.  (I was also hit by a bus in Los Angeles.  Both times in a car, both times at small speeds.)  Unfortunately, Rob and Daisy were in the car too, me driving.  Bus driver (one of those big private coach buses) rolled through stop sign, I thought he was stopping.  And instead of slamming on the brakes or accelerating, I yelled.  Which is very very useful when the bus driver hasn't even bothered to look in the direction your car is coming from.  I also veered right; he hit the driver back wheel.  Poor Matilda.  I'm building her a pyre, lighting her on fire, and pushing her into the sea.  Watch out, Water Taxi.

In other news, we organized the belt factory junk the other night, with a very kind wonderful gentleman building hangingrolling rods for the reels.  Rob and Jen were up high and I was passing them the reels, but they have to be a certain weight, a certain size hole, etc etc and I wanted to wait to do this project until the rest of the gang was there, knitting my eyebrows and stamping my feet a little.

R said, "Why don't you go up there and let people pass you stuff?  That suits you much better."

Ah, it's so nice to be understood.
